OUR WINES AWARDED SIX MEDALS
IN CHINA WINE & SPIRITS AWARDS 2017
The latest awards to be bestowed on Alejandro Fernández’s four bodegas – Condado de Haza, Dehesa la Granja, El Vínculo and Tinto Pesquera – were presented during the most prestigious drinks competition on the Chinese market, the China Wine & Spirits Awards 2017. In its latest edition, the competition recognised six of the group’s wines with medals for their outstanding value for money. Millenium 2008 and Dehesa14 2000 won the maximum accolade, double Gold, respectively. Pesquera Reserva 2012, Alenza 2006 and Dehesa La Granja 2007 won Golds, while Alejandro Fernández’s only white wine, Alejairén, won Silver.
This competition has a huge impact on both the Asian and the international markets. Its main priority is focused on guaranteeing the qualities of the wines that are awarded. This clear objective is carried out through a series of blind tastings performed by a panel of expert judges who analyse thousands of wines from more than 55 countries from around the world.
The medals awarded to wines in the category “Best Value” guarantee consumer enjoyment of authentic wine gems at an accessible price. The CWSA awards reiterate the quality and excellence that characterise the artisanal wines made by Alejandro Fernández, the Maestro of the Tempranillo and Airén grape varieties. These natural wines made without additives, bottled without filtering or fining are the maximum expression of their native land.
