From Pesquera to Manhattan. The Fernández-Rivera family travelled to the Big Apple to showcase their life’s work of dedication to and passion for the wine sector. A meeting in which the most important US prescriptors relived “Alejandro’s Dream”, the history, the innumerable international awards, all culminating in a spectacular tasting event featuring legendary vintages from his four bodegas. Wines that are all unique in appearance, aroma, and taste – despite being made from the same grape variety, Tempranillo. They are a true reflection of the terroir where they were cultivated. And, of course, the event would not have been complete without Reserva' 75, Alejandro’s first Tinto Pesquera, which he took to the event tucked under his arm –just as he did on his international travels in the past. The participants were full of expectation and pleasantly surprised by the exquisiteness and ageing potential of the emblematic wine: “stunning” “shining bright”. At almost 85 years of age, the Maestro of Tempranillo still has the potential to surprise both us and those who have had the chance to taste his most personal wines.
