Millenium 2008 – finesse personified
The Tinto Pesquera bodega has released a new vintage of one of its most exceptional wines, Millenium 2008. This is the fourth vintage from this select harvest, which is only made in those years when the Tempranilo grape quality fulfils all the criteria stipulated by Grupo Pesquera’s winemaking team. This is why we have had to wait eight years for this exceptional Reserva. A wine that accumulates all the aromas and tastes of the first vines planted by winemaker, Alejandro Fernández, on the banks of the River Duero.
Tinto Pesquera Millenium 2008 is an exclusive wine, both for its quality and the way it is made, being the bodega’s only wine to age in French oak. The final result lays bare experienced savour faire based on a traditional natural ageing process – without filtering or fining. This wine is made from select Tempranillo grapes from the Viña Alta vineyard; one of the bodega’s oldest vineyards located in the north of the River Duero at 800 meters above sea-level. This low-yield vineyard is strewn with rocks and boasts a high mineral content which affords unique nuances to the grapes.
This oenological gem is internationally acclaimed by experts and sommeliers alike. Millenium 2008 is the only Spanish wine whose last two vintages have been selected by Emirates Airlines for its Business and First Class in a blind tasting of the best wines in the world.
