Alejairén 2012 released on the market
Only a month after stocks of Alejairén 2011 sold out the new vintage of Grupo Pesquera’s only white wine has been released on the market. Alejairén 2012 is made from 100% Airén grown at Alejandro Fernández’s La Mancha bodega, El Vínculo in its Paraje de la Golosa vineyard, which is planted with hundred-year-old vines.
Alejairén 2012 is a wine that borders on excellence and aims to captivate wine enthusiasts as did its previous vintage. The first tastings were enjoyed by the panel as much as if not more so than the 2011 wine. It fact, it could be said that with Alejairén 2012 Grupo Pesquera, after many years of experience in red wine making, has mastered this white wine to perfection.
Alejairén gets its name from combining “Alejandro” and “Airén”, the grape variety used to make it. A wine that conquers even the most sophisticated palates and in the words of its creator, “once you try Alejairén you won’t be able to resist it”. This wine is gold in colour and in the mouth boasts good structure, vivacious acidity, freshness and hints of coconut (wood) with fruity sensations. A very round white wine that could only be made by a maestro winemaker of the calibre of Alejandro Fernández.
