Summer
at Condado de Haza: Music & Solidarity
This year’s concert has been a fund-raising
event, in favor of research against Alzheimer
disease.
Once more Summer brought a wonderful concert
to Condado de Haza estate. Tradition was
repeated in this fourth consecutive edition,
and the Voronezh Russian State Academic
Symphonic Orchestra, directed by Ramón
Torrelledó and escorted by prestigious
soloists, fulfilled the audience expectations
last July 28th.
Following the
path began last year – with tremendous
success – the program included some
popular pieces from Spanish authors. And
also an exhibition of Cante Flamenco, performed
by Carmen Linares and the guitar players
José Manuel León and Eduardo
Pacheco. The fusion of a powerful russian
orchestra, conducted by a Spanish maestro,
side by side with great voices and soloists,
and the Vaccea Chorus, executing as both
classical and popular songs such as ‘El
Amor Brujo’, ‘La Gran Vía’
or the prelude of ‘El tambor de Granaderos”
has been, there is no doubt, a reason for
the public to be thankful.

The great innovation
of this edition of the Summer Concert at
Condado de Haza was its beneficent character.
It was the first time that an entrance fee
has been charged (30E by person), and all
the takings we allocated to the investigations
against Alzheimer Disease (Association of
families from people that suffer from Alzheimer
– Valladolid). The event, naturally
festive, became also an opportunity to contribute
to a noble cause.

Once again, Alejandro Fernández gathered
wine and culture on a wonderful ambience:
the ‘château’ Condado
de Haza, a set of Castilian buildings surrounded
by vineyards.
But,
this time an important component of solidarity
has been added, something that is already
a tradition in Pesquera Corporation.
Good music, good
wine... and good heart. We cannot ask for
more.
