Vertical Tasting at London

Last November 29th –at the oldest wine shop in the world: Berry Bros & Rudd– took place an unprecedented tasting, introduced by Alejandro Fernández himself

Presentations and tastings of the best wines in the world are common among the different activities programmed in this ‘temple’. Last two of them, just before Christmas, have been devoted to CHÂTEAU MARGAUX and PESQUERA.

Alejandro Fernández introduced wines from his four estates before a select group of 40 privileged British clients, including a vertical tasting of PESQUERAS ranging from the brand new PESQUERA Crianza 2002 to the 1976 PESQUERA, the second vintage of Alejandro’s. Not many wineries are able to present such a wide variety of first class vintages.

One of the purposes of the tasting was to verify how the wines of the ‘maestro’ age with time. All the attendants were surprised by the quality and strength of wines some of which were 20 years old or more.

After the tasting of wine, a tasting of Spanish ‘tapas’ followed. Alejandro Fernández was then greeted by the attendants, who praised the high quality level of all the wines presented:
